Welcome to The Turtle Nest-Lanai w/Hot Tub+5mi to beach!

"The Turtle Nest" is a renovated single family home with comfortable furniture. It is located in the heart of Sarasota and 5 miles to the Siesta Key Beach! It offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bath and can sleep up to 6. The backyard is private, includes a screened lanai, a private hot tub, lounge chairs and grill. The outdoor setting is quiet and relaxing as the yard is surrounded by tall, tropical, palm and fruit trees (mango, star fruit, coconut). It will make your stay comfortable, fun, and relaxing!

The space
We have all the amenities you would come to expect from a high quality home, including beautiful furniture, quality linens, towels, and fully equipped kitchen. The backyard area is fully fenced all around, offering complete privacy. The full-size washer and dryer is located in the laundry room adjacent to the house.

For remote work or convenience, the house also has a large computer desk, a large monitor, keyboard and a mouse for your convenience.
We also provide beach essentials: 6 adult and 2 child-sized beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, beach towels, a rolling cooler, and a beach wagon. There's plenty of parking space available in front of the house.

Please note: The house has four locations where there is a step down between levels. Please be mindful of these steps as you familiarize yourself with the layout upon first entry.

Guest access
Four days before your arrival, you’ll receive a link to our digital guide, which includes everything you need to know about the property—check-in instructions, parking details, Wi-Fi info, restaurant recommendations, and more.

One hour before your arrival, you'll receive your personal access code to enter the home.

Our local host, Ron, is nearby and available throughout your stay to assist with any needs that may arise.

Other things to note
**Backyard and Other Tips and Tricks** to keep the hot tub warm, the top must stay on when not in use. If you have any difficulties with opening or closing the hot tub cover our local host can help.

Weekly outdoor service visits are conducted by the local host (Ron).
Tuesdays: Trash removal & hot tub cleaning.
Wednesdays: Trash can pickup.
Lawncare & landscaping occurs weekly and may occur during your stay.
You do not have to be present for any service visits.

We recommend that everyone gets trip protection for any unforeseen needs to cancel your reservation. It's peace of mind! :-)

We really enjoyed our stay. Anna was a great host and was very responsive. She gave us some great local recommendations. The hot tub was nice and it was nice they had a grill to use. We liked the layout of the house, and the neighborhood was nice and quite. We also got to meet the caretaker and he was a hoot! They took care of anything we need promptly. The only thing I would say that we would like to see the master bed be replaced. The bed has 2 deep divots that made it uncomfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this location.

Communication with the host was spot on, always with a quick response and gave me all of the information I needed in a timely manner. The house was so well stocked from the kitchen to each and every area. The knives were nice and sharp, I had every kitchen item I needed to cook with. Coffee and coffee pods, soaps and shampoo, tons of beach towels and beach gear were provided. The hot tub was lovely and clean.This house is centrally located and close to most of the things we wanted to do. The house was clean and cozy and is well represented in the photos. Love the turtle theme! The backyard felt very private and we enjoyed hanging out there. There was even a star fruit tree and a lovely and friendly orange neighborhood cat that stopped by to say hi. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much!

Great stay! House was clean and the hosts had a lot of random things in the house that are just convenient (spices in kitchen along with aluminum foil and plastic wrap, shampoo and conditioner, laundry soap, etc.). They also had a ton of beach stuff so we didn’t really need anything other than what was provided by hosts other than food. Great house and great hosts!

Loved the Turtle Nest!

This property is 5-star all the way around, it was awesome! Our family of 6 came down from Missouri to the Sarasota area for our first time, to celebrate a milestone birthday, and could not have picked a better place to stay for our home away from home for the week. The house was SO cozy, comfortable and cute, we actually had a hard time getting going to head out for the day! The place was exceptionally clean, so well decorated, and fully stocked. We really appreciated the availability of the nice beach gear to use - the rolling cooler, wagon and umbrellas made our trips to the beach simple and easy. The location was so convenient, close to stores and an easy drive to several beaches. Our grown daughters enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the evenings when we returned to settle in for the night. Anna was a wonderful hostess; responsive, thorough, kind and considerate. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely try to return to the Turtle Nest - highly recommend!!

Supportive and responsive host!

We had a wonderful stay with our infant daughter and were able to fully enjoy the property as well as the beach with the many provided amenities! The hot tub and layout of the house helped us enjoy the Florida weather even while our little one napped.

Great relaxing stay in a clean well equipped house

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Turtle Nest. This house was very clean (with attention to detail) and supplied with everything we needed. At the end of the day, we spent most of our time at the house in the back veranda. This was our first time to Sarasota so we wanted to spend a week in a house and investigate the city and the local islands. We wanted to rent a house in a location close to the bay and downtown. The location of this house worked well for us because it was central to where we wanted to go. During the day we relaxed on all the local beaches on the islands, spent time downtown, at the UTC, checking out restaurants, and hitting the local trails. There are plenty of pubic beaches with good parking. The drive to any of the beaches did not take long. This worked so well that we decided to do this again and not rent on one of the islands when we come again.

House was nice, location was ok

The house was nice --we really enjoyed the Florida/back room -- nice to hang out and play games at the table or watch tv. It was nice to have the front room and the back room. We loved the hot tub. The bedrooms were fine -- though it would be nice to have a mirror and dresser in the 3rd bedroom (with bunk beds). The 2nd bath could use some updating. The neighborhood around the house was dated, a little run down. And very residential. We would have enjoyed a neighborhood with sidewalks where we could walk/ride bikes. For us, we think we would stay closer to the beach or in a newer/nicer area. This house was priced well for where we were location.

Booking with Anna at the Turtles nest was excellent! We stayed here while attending a wedding in the village area . The village was just a short and easy drive. The Turtles nest was very comfortable and clean !

WOW such an amazing place!!

Our family traveled from Buffalo, NY and when we arrived we knew right away we chose the right place! The house is SO beautiful, decorated to perfection. So clean, very spacious with an amazing layout. This house was better stocked than ANY other we have ever stayed at (which has been alot). It had everything you could need: Coffee pods, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, many towels, bag clips, wine openers, even down to the condiments. FIRST CLASS and very thought out preparation it was SUCH a suprise. Also all the beach stuff you need: Chairs, umbrellas, cooler, etc....we were able to control the hot tub with the lights it was SO amazing we used it every night. Street is SO quiet and close to everything. Only a 5 minute drive to Siesta Key Beach. We went to St. Armands, Lido Key, even Bridge Street (my favorite) and Anna Maria Island. Cannot say enough how responsive and amazing Anna was to deal with she responded to everything within minutes. AMAZING!!!

Very clean, well equipped.Great location.

Very clean, lots of towels including beach towels. The description and pics are accurate. The kitchen is well equipped. The screened porch, hot tub and backyard make a great spot to hangout and relax in the evening. The neighborhood is quiet and many good restaurants are a short drive away. Siesta Key beaches are a few minutes away and the hosts provide all the equipment you need. We will stay here again when visiting the area.

The Best place in Sarasota !!!

Anna’s place is the best place best I’ve stayed in in Sarasota area .. I do a lot of Vrbo and this by far is the nicest in all the places I’ve stayed … very very clean very very nice and relaxing .. Anna always checked on my stay .. just good people .. highly recommend !! Thanks Anna and Andrew .. I will definitely be back !!!… hot tub was awesome 😉
