Welcome to Illustrator Cottage
Illustrator Cottage is located in the Goshorn Lake Resort. This artistically decorated home is here to provide the best experience this summer, leaving you with many laughs and memories. It is located just two miles outside of downtown Saugatuck, not even a 5 minute, and a short walk to the Dune Rides. Has shared access with Goshorn Lake and their sandy beach, a volleyball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, jungle gyms, sandboxes, and a heated pool. Illustrator Cottage is the perfect getaway making you want to stay longer.
INSIDE THE HOME
Walk into a recently updated cottage, with a fully equipped kitchen (equipped with the basics), screened in porch, and decently sized bed and bath. This cottage has one bedroom (queen size) and one full bath. The full bath has handicap accessible rails for help in and out of the shower. There is also a ramp leading up to the entrance of this cottage. The living room does have a pull out sofa that turns into a double size bed. Come in after a long day Kayaking on Goshorn lake to relax and grill out. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the screened in porch and listen to the birds.

With all that the resort has to offer you might not want to leave, but in the chance you do downtown Saugatuck is a 4 minute drive away. Want to go out and explore? Holland is a 15 minute drive, Oval Beach is less than 10 minutes, and South Haven is 20 minutes away.
Goshorn Lake #10 is a standalone home within Goshorn Lake Resort. If you're traveling with a larger group, we manage five other cottages in this same resort. The homes are intended to be rented separately, but can easily be booked together for group getaways.
*Laundry is located in a separate building and requires coins.

Illustrator Cottage was a quaint retreat. The vibe was retro, comfortable and perfectly coordinated. The resort had so much to offer in addition to our cottage. Boats, kayaks, swimming, game room, fishing dock, beach, pool and more! It was so close to everything. We couldn’t have asked for more!

My kids and I loved the Illustrator Cottage! It's on the small size, but well laid out. The fold out kitchen table is a nice touch. Check-in couldn't have been easier. And the facilities ar Goshorn Lake were fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Pretty disappointed with the illustrator cottage
Place was filthy. Baseboards in the entire cottage are disgusting. There was a pubic hair in the bathroom on the baseboard. Crumbs on the kitchen counter. It was never cleaned before we got there. Silverware in kitchen was also disgusting. Had to wash everything before I used it. Internet suckedPull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. Felt like my feet were above my head. Large urine stain on the mattress.No extra blankets in the cottage. It was 55 this morning.Amenities were nonexistent.First morning, we went to the beach, we got kicked off because they were regrading the sand. Would have been nice to know about this beforehand.Terrible value for paying over 300 per night. I would not come back nor would I ever recommend this to anybody I know. Very disappointing to work all year for my vacation and come to find this.The beach and the pool were the only positives for our stay.Thanks, Miles

This was a very nice experience. Any recommendations come from my personal situation rather than anything that was done poorly. For example, the furniture was not made for folks with bad knees and the bed was a bit too soft for my liking but those are personal things. I would recommend a small rug outside of the bed to wipe your feet on before getting into the bed. My feet seemed to carry a lot of dust/sand into the bed with them.

The property was okay, the online pictures make it appear to be larger than it is. The location met our needs. Problems - The TV only worked about 1% of the time. The Wi-Fi is not strong enough so the TV just was buffering most of the time. The instructions on how to work the heating system were not good. We had to have someone come to the property to get it running. The batteries in the remotes to work the heating system were almost dead. Also there was a infestation of bugs in the kitchen on the counter top and the stove.The web site doesn't explain that the "heated" pool would not be available that time of the year.It's understandable that it would not, but that should be be stated on the property description. Thank you.

Perfect Location

Beautiful Getaway

Great property in an amazing location
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved having the pool and the lake. The pool was warm which I appreciate so much. We took advantage of the kayaks and sand toys at the lake. The cottage had everything one could need. Loved sitting in the screened in porch at night playing games. One thing I really appreciate were all the hooks. Those are so important for beach trips. Beds were decent. The couch could use a cleaning but that and I wish check out was 10:30 or 11 are my only complaints. But those are minor. Would definitely book this place again.

Great stay at the lake
We had such a good time at this property. It was clean, we were well communicated with. It is close to the pool and lake, with great amenities to enjoy our time outside. We look forward to coming back

So happy to be back at Goshorn Lake
I love this resort. I used to bring my children each summer when they were small. It's a lovely resort and everyone is very friendly. The Illustrator cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us. Cute and cozy. We'll definitely be back!

brief getaway
Our burned out lightbulbs were replaced next day and dead batteries replaced for the heat pump remote. Those were the most complicated things that occurred. Otherwise, we relaxed in the evening and showered and slept. The space next to the beds is very narrow and would be nicer if there were a way to enlarge it, but otherwise, it was cute and the setting charming.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay. The lake and beach were perfect for young kids and we had fun at the pool too. The cottage was small but cute, functional, and fairly clean. We'd consider staying here again in the future.

Great location
Charming little cottage, clean and well-maintained. It was a tight fit for 4 people, but we made it work. Private lake was wonderful!!!

Goshorn Lake
Wonderfull family oriented group of charming cottages. Park right at your front door. A short walk to a private beach on a picturesque 27 acre lake. Nice pool. Basketball court. Sand volleyball. Quiet. Relaxing.
