Perfect Waterfront Location, Close to Town:

The SaugaBuck House is located just a 5-minute drive into downtown Saugatuck and Douglas, making it easily accessible to the area's top local eateries, cafes, shops, and activities. Immersed in nature and perched along the Kalamazoo River, The SaugaBuck House comes equipped with two kayaks and two paddleboards so you can walk down to your private beach and hop in the river. After an afternoon on the water, head back to the house to fire up the grill. Enjoy dinner on the large dining table inside or have a more casual dining experience by the campfire (BYOWood). When you're ready to explore the neighborhood, you can head to one of the many wooded trails or beaches in the area. Take a drive over to Oval Beach where the sand squeaks under your feet or head to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park for a scenic hike through the dunes where the trees eventually open up to a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. Local wineries with tasting rooms are also plentiful in the area in case you and your group want to try something new.

You will have access to the entire property, including the main house and private guest cottage located above the garage. With our keyless entry, you can enjoy a flexible check-in any time after the designated check-in time on your arrival date and guests can conveniently gain access via the smart lock.



The house offers parking for up to 8 cars in the driveway.



The Neighborhood:

Welcome to the charming town of Saugatuck! Enjoy strolling Butler Street and hitting all the shops this beautiful beach town has to offer from famous art galleries to locally roasted coffee, jam, and jelly shops. There is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite the senses. Saugatuck allows open containers in the "social district" off Butler and Water Streets. Enjoy a beverage from one of the local watering holes and feel free to bring it with you as you walk the riverfront.



You will enjoy nearby access to Lake Michigan and all the unsalted coast has to offer. Whether it’s spring, summer, fall and or winter, there is something for everyone to enjoy! From hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and paddle boarding, there are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from. And if you are visiting during the winter months, be sure to try out a wintery hike at the beach, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing along the lakeshore.



Getting Around:

The SaugaBuck House is within a 5-minute drive of Downtown Saugatuck and Douglas! The Interurban is a on-call public transportation service that services Saugatuck/Douglas/Fennville. Simply call the number and request a pickup. $1 fares each way!

Outdoor furniture may be winterized from December to Memorial Day Weekend.



We strictly do not allow smoking or parties. Any weddings or events must be pre-approved prior to booking. There is a $5K minimum venue fee in addition to lodging for weddings.
