”Lovely cabin and area. We made it just in time for a beautiful sunset and wish we could have stayed longer. I did not receive any information of Wi-fi access, and while I loved being unplugged it would have been helpful if there was some emergency contact info located at the cabin, since the spot was more remote.”

”Once inside this property shines. Giving plenty of space for a family of four or even more, with pull out couch. The home was well spread out and the second sitting room was a great little area. ”My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!”

”My family of 6 was midway through a weeklong road trip that included parts of the Lake sSuperior circle and the upper peninsula of Michigan. The location was perfect for a couple days to stop and rest and spread out before we headed back out. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was very responsive and welcoming. This apartment is in the basement of the home that the host resides in, but we were never burdened by noises from upstairs. ”

The kitchen cabinets are labeled and have plenty of dishes, silverware and cooking equipment.We loved taking in the view each morning and evening on the screened in cottage. While sitting on the dock, we watched a majestic eagle soaring. The beds are comfortable and the ceiling fans are quiet. We loved staying at Maple Point Hideaway. ”
