Great nights stay at The Vanguard, very clean and tidy, everything we needed really, would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated by the river, which was lovely for morning walks. We upgraded to a suite, which was spacious, well designed, and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was super comfortable, too. Our shower was a little slow to drain, but the staff responded to the issue quickly and with great professionalism, which we really appreciated. There’s a restaurant on site, a bar that stays open late, a gym, and a small indoor pool that can be booked for a private session. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was reasonably clean but dated, the shower leaked water everywhere. The bar was a real sanctuary of peace and quiet. We believed the evening meal was to be £21.90 but we were charged £23.95, why ?
