”We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many...

It was exactly as portrayed: an historic (and idiosyncratic) small inn/hotel; not fancy, very straightforward; on the water in a wonderful location; a great kitchen punching way above its weight. But the best part was its staff. Warm, genuine. I felt cared about by every staff member I interacted with. Kudos.”

”We enjoyed the nature around the property. Rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly. Breakfast and Dinner were also terrific. I would have liked to see a safe in the room. For us, the pillows were hard, perhaps some less firm pillows? Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend! ”

”Very welcoming and friendly manager / staff. Clean rooms and very comfortable bed and chairs. Shower was poor (luke warm water which could not be adjusted with poor water flow). Breakfast was acceptable (cereal, toast, boiled egg - not full English). Beautiful outlook across to Hoy with small ferry terminal serving Hoy and Flotta close by. Not inconvenienced by ferry, noise or traffic using it. Excellent position for visiting the ‘mainland’ including Kirkwall and Stromness. A car is a must...

”Perussiisti hotelli, hieman vanhahko ja kulunut sisustus. Huoneen kylppäri onneksi jo uusittu. Ohuet seinät huoneissa, joten naapuriin kuuluu oikein hyvin. Käytävillä ummehtunut tuoksu johtui todennäköisesti likaisesta kokolattiamatosta. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällinen ja ruoka oikein hyvää.”
