”This is an outstanding property in a quiet, picturesque part of Stoke-on-Trent (the village of Barlaston). Morgan at Reception on Tuesday afternoon 15/7/25 was fantastic… very helpful, very pleasant! Dinner was very nice…and the wait staff pleasant and efficient! Our room was well appointed and beds very comfortable, with a nice ensuite and shower. This property exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend this property! ”Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
”The staff at this property where really really lovely so genuine and welcoming it really made the overnight stay. Plus the cleanliness of the rooms was too notch and the breakfast was great. Date I say much better than other companies hotels. Service and all the above mentioned where 5 star in our opinion. We are out and taxi service used by the hotel was also brilliant efficient and quick. ”
”Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal.

”Lovely clean room that had everything we needed. Appreciated the fan provided as it was a very hot night. Had our evening meal there and can highly recommend - it was delicious. Free Continental breakfast was also good. Great value. Would definitely stay again. ”
