”We had a fantastic time during our stay. Me and my partner and our two college-aged kids had plenty of room in this small house. we enjoyed the bbq, eating on the deck and the hot tub. we cooked each night and there was adequate cookware. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations to see the area. Perfect spot to tour the Golden Circle and a short drive to Selfoss. Note that the local restaurant, on site, is open limited days--we were planning on eating there but it was...

”Location is great. Super cute, but small cabin. Hot tub did not work very well and didn’t hold its heat.
Only 4 towels, 1 dish towel and cloth for 4 people for a two night stay. Only 4 coffee pods for a 2 night stay.
Was surprised to find no basics in the kitchen. Salt, pepper or oil. However, those were not promised. Duvet inside cover was very stained and a bit off putting.
The cabin had good instructions for most things. I would recommend including instructions for cook top as well.”

”A gem of a cottage - with stunning views of the volcano! Everything was immaculately clean and cozy, and the host added a lot of special touches that made it feel like a home away from home. From the little extras (q-tips, makeup remover, full basket of toiletries) to pantry staples and more. Everything was so cozy and wonderful, wish we could have stayed longer!”

”For the amount we spent for one night, this property fell well short of our expectations.
Access was difficult, even with a 4x4, due to extremely poor road conditions, limited signage, and no lighting. Reaching our unit meant carrying luggage a long distance along an unlit gravel path in strong winds and rain, using a phone flashlight to navigate—especially challenging with children.
The private sauna and hot tub were major reasons we booked, but the owners advised that neither could be used...

”We were a retired sibling group of eight. We chose this house and cabins for its idyllic setting and it was a wonderful place to relax after a busy schedule. The cabins were much nicer than I expected. They are close to the house and have plenty of outlets. They could have used blackout curtains as our stay was in June. The master bedroom was great. I would say the 2 upstairs bedrooms are more suitable for kids. They really feel like being in a somewhat unfinished attic. A roof window would be a...

”Ironically the absolute best place we stayed in all of Iceland. Amenities like a kitchen and hot tub and just the amazing view made this extremely worthwhile. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to my questions. Even providing suggestions. Location was perfect for the Golden Circle. So dark at night we saw the Northern lights in late August. We loved this cabin. Would definitely come again.”

”The property itself is wonderful and the home is very clean, current, and amenable. Being a new property, there are many positives to the home and property. Unfortunately, being a new property also means some issues with management need to be worked through. There’s always someone “available” via the app… but that representative cannot fix anything or do anything to address issues. When we checked in, the master bedroom has been locked from the inside somehow… then the water quit working...

8/10 Hyvä
"The hotel was cozy, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was nice as well, but the only downside was that it was freezing cold when we first arrived – it seemed like the balcony door might have been left slightly open. Fortunately, we managed to warm it up while we went to have dinner at the restaurant connected to the hotel. The food was really tasty by the way. However, during the night we then woke up because it had become too hot😅. Other than that, we were very pleased with the hotel, the staff, the breakfast, and the location. If we return to Reykjavík, we will definitely stay here again "
