”I originally wanted to book from the 14th to the 18th but the system wouldn’t allow me to do that so I ended up booking one night and then after a couple of false starts I managed to book the other 3 nights. The first night I had a room with a shower which was very nice (lovely in fact). However the wi fi was terrible downstairs but works a lot better upstairs as I had to change rooms because of not being able to book all 4 nights at the same time. Really good otherwise.”

”An absolute gem of a find. We booked for my birthday at the end of last year, loved it so much, went back this last weekend for our anniversary. The quiet location, the lovely food, the friendly staff, all make for a really gorgeous overnight treat. Whilst last time we stayed in the four poster bed room, we opted for the balcony room this time. It was a little tired and in need of some TLC but none the less, it was a lovely stay. ”

”The room was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and the menu offered plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking space.”

”Property a little tired but very clean and staff are very nice. Rooms functional we were upgraded to a beautiful view, only complaint the hearing was in a timer and the room was very cold. They gave us an electric heater which took the chill off. ”

”The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. ”

”Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. Luckily he mentioned it later, and it got sorted and refunded. Would definitely stay there again, beautiful old building, and although a pub was very quiet in our room, ...

”The property is extremely old and needs a proper renovation in my opinion - carpet is dirty with some stains, the bathroom tub has visible mold, and there was a constant water dripping noise from the toilet all night. Windows are damaged with broken glass and could not be securely locked, which we felt unsafe. Heating didn’t work properly, making it freezing in the morning. The beds are very soft, but compared to other things this is not a big issue. There was no front desk or staff available,...
