”The staff was very helpful and pleasant, and the view out the back was beautiful, but the room did not have hotel slippers in it. (If it had a safe, I did not find it.) ”
”What a fun place to stay! A record player with vintage albums in the room. Clean and comfortable. And the taco truck parked outside (open for breakfast and lunch) was delicious!”

The only downside was the cleaning - a previous customer had hidden empty alcohol bottles in the room's cabinets that were left there for us to find - that made me feel a bit uneasy. But in all a good visit regardless.”

The property is vast and the immediate grounds are very well maintained with many activities to interest all-pool, hiking trails, and croquet. The public spaces androoms are well put together while maintaining their historic integrity. Grab a crab cocktail at the in-house bar and have dinner in any of the well appointed dining spaces. A great place to stay before/after a visit to Monticello.”
”The property was clean, but the receptionist saw I was standing in front of the desk and did not come immediately when I checked in. I needed to wait for 3 or 4 minutes. Maybe she was taking a break outside the building. That was my first experience waiting for the receptionist at the hotel. ”
