”Wij genoten van het verblijf in het rustieke huis. Alles was prima verzorgd, het haardvuur stond al aan bij aankomst.De eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Omdat wij nogal lang zijn was het bed voor ons een beetje te kort. Vanaf de veranda is er een mooi uitzicht op de olijfboomgaard en de wijngaard voor het huis. In de omgeving konden we mooi wandelen met onze honden.Fijn dat de honden mee konden op vakantie. In het nabij gelegen dorp is een kleine supermarkt die goede producten...

”The house is a beautifully redone schist structure in the center of Talasnal. All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Great hikes just walking out the front door…although we did get lost the first day. Haha. Both Joao and Alda were super responsive and so helpful. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

”The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. The only downside for us was the proximity to the A13...

”We were visiting from Canada and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this rustic, authentic accommodation. Thank goodness for accurate GPS to get to the property and through the twists and turns of the VERY narrow roads in town & up the hillside! Ample parking outside the cottage. We all slept soundly and the beds were comfortable and the house was charming. We did find a shortage of basic kitchen utensils (corkscrew, measuring cups/spoons, wine glasses, spatula etc) but managed ok (bought our own...

”Casa Bem Haja is lovely, quirky, bijou!! The small space is used very well, although I have to admit, I wouldn't have liked to squeeze the maximum 6 people in there (we were 4)!
