Majatalot – Shipston on Stour

”Stayed in the Moon Gazer gypsy caravan. It has ‘lived’ but is cute, quirky and the bed/bedding was lovely. Quiet and private with a bird song orchestra we had lovely weekend drinking locally brewed ale/cider and listening to local ‘turn up and play’ folk musicians. Superb weekend all round.”

”It was only a one night visit (we were going to Longborough opera) and we did not eat or even breakfast there. So I can comment only on the room, which was fine with everything that you you would want, and the host who was very welcoming and solicitous. The Victoria cafe, close by, is excellent for breakfast.”

”No access until 3pm, no staff onsite after 11. Bathroom not vey clean. Never been in a room so hot, not the owners fault but one small fan covered in dust and fluff did nothing, constant smell of weed outside and into our room did little to help. All in all very disappointed 😟”

”We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! Highly recommend!”

”Enjoyed our visit to the Rose and Crown, Warwick. We were in the rooms on the square, which were well maintained, clean and additional equipment such as iron/ironing board (but no hairdryer) were provided. It was a heatwave weekend and fans were provided in the rooms. We had drinks in the evening, and breakfast at the pub in the morning, which was excellent. Minor hiccups with the drinks bill was promptly sorted by the manager. The whole operation is well run, location is excellent and we...

”Nice, comfortable bedroom but you could hear the noise from the road. View to a meadow. English breakfast ok, but I missed cheese and cold cuts on my slice of bread. Gym was good. Nothing to do within short walking distance, and I didn't find a nice route for evening walk either. I stayed here because had a meeting here, but next time would opt for a hotel in town.”
