”This ryokan was lovely- all the staff were so accommodating and made us feel very special! The ryokan itself is dainty and pleasant. There was public Onsens for women’s and men’s separate (in the women’s there was 1 indoor and 1 outdoor public Onsen with shower room inside). You can also book a private Onsen when you arrive - they have 45 min time slots for 3000 yen! Also very quick walk to Yubatake and the bus station! Would recommend”
”This is a lovely 'boutique hotel' in an absolutely beautiful part of the area north of Nakanojo near Lake Okushima. I wanted a truly Japanese place and I got it. Few, if any, 'foreigners' in the area. I was provided a bike and road around for 3 hours. The owner is a beautiful, kind lady and her and her staff treated me like a king. I had a room with a private hot spring pool - all I can say is "wow". If you want to see a place off the beaten track, I highly recommend this hotel.”
”we had a perfect two-night stay at the Kusatsu Now Resort. First the staff has the best service I have ever experienced even though there was a language barrier. but the staff went beyond everything to keep us happy. Secondly the town of Kusatsu is really beautiful and compact so absolutely worth of visit!”
”Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10am”
