Yksityiset loma-asunnot – Shoal Bay

”Location was excellent for us but this is overpriced for what it is, basic. Some gardening and sweeping out the front would provide a better welcome. Entry via a garage roller door is novel but functional, then we were met with the BBQ area with a multitude of chairs and a very dusty table. Already on guard when entering the unit, it didn’t seem clean. Maybe as left by the previous guest with the bed made and fresh towels. On checking we noted that there was plenty of coffee pods but no espresso...

”We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back. It was very clean and the property had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Our host also communicated very well and helped us out efficiently when we had left something behind. Thank you.”

”Good location… we were greeted by approximately 25 dead cockroaches..screen door lock on front door could do with some attention. But overall we had a pleasant stay. Would book again.”

”Location perfect, house was lovely. Beds fantastic. Was not a modern home but it was perfect for our families. The other reviews did have me very worried about our stay but I was very pleasantly surprised. The patio and views were just spectacular. The is no TV upstairs but we actually loved that. Please don’t let the previous reviews stop you from booking. We had a great holiday. ”

”Very disappointing. The house was in a good position with great views. But it needed a really good clean. The windows had cobwebs and bird droppings which I had to clean off in order to see outside. When I pulled back the bedding on my last day, the mattress protector had completely disintegrated, and there were tiny flakes of plastic everywhere. I don't think it had ever been changed. It made me feel awful to know I'd been sleeping on that.”

”House is MASSIVE and perfect for families with teenagers. Downstairs has 2 double bedrooms, laundry and teens tv lounge. Upstairs open plan, modern furniture, bright outlook onto 8 seater dining/bbq area. Excellent lighting throughout the property. Amazing view of the sea and Tomaree. Quite spectacular observing the massive storm roll in, although 22 hour powercut not so great! Master bedroom is ENORMOUS…walk-in wardrobe, bathroom & separate toilet. Little bridge walkway back into...

”The host was welcoming. The sheets had a damp smell as if they had been put on the beds without being fully dry, which four of my family members complained about. In all other ways, it was a lovely stay and the views were gorgeous.”

”This property is great as a communal holiday house. Good location for access to Nelson Bay. Quiet street and the house is well set up. ”

”I think the family who own this house love it and want others to also enjoy it. The bedding, cushions, toiletries , ornaments are all lovely. Air conditioning great as is fenced back yard. Position great, excellent Thai restaurant down the road. But the house is a major trip hazard. Virtually every room has a different level floor. As older people we found it terrifying. The two ramps to the backyard are steep. Also you can’t cut a bathroom in two tiny segments and expect it to be...

”Beautiful home in such a quiet spot. Inclusions were fantastic. Obviously the highlight is the spa, and the thoughtful retractable shade over it was so great! Lots of items to keep a baby happy, safe and fed too. I've come home wanting to redo my backyard to look just like this one! Nicole was a beautoful host too, with timely responses always”
