Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. We came back to the hotel after a walk to low force, just after the service for food had ended, but it was no trouble to staff to offer to make a bowl of chips for us as the fryers were still on. We did find the bed slightly uncomfortable and under bed may need to be cleaned but other than that it was great. To have high force tickets and raby castle tickets included was also an added bonus. ”Booked for an overnight stay as working the music festival at Herrington Park. Excellent communication. Staff polite & professional and happy to accommodate our needs. The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday. ”

We had breakfast which was delicious , served by Rachel the hotel manager, she was bubbly and very approachable giving plenty of suggestions for our trip. The hotel is normally busy but turned out we were the only guest for the evening which made for a peaceful stay (no complaints here) ”

”A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap.
