What a fantastic property. Rebecca was extremely friendly, helpful, altogether amazing. Beautiful room and view. Comfy bed, large bathroom, Nespresso machine, bottled water and jelly beans! The breakfast was excellent, fresh eggs from the chickens, really good selection of cereals, yoghurt etc and a large cafetière of coffee. What more could you ask for. What a gem!

Really pleasant stay. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were made to feel at home straight away. The room was large and comfortable with an absolutely stunning view. We had the full English for breakfast which was really nice. Would strongly recommend!

A two night stay
Rebecca is a superb hostess. Very warm welcome including a pack of tourist info leaflets. Extremely comfortable bed and a very wide choice for breakfast, which was first rate. Convenient location about 2 miles north of Wem and 6 miles south of Whitchurch. A good base for exploring Shropshire. No hesitation in recommending The Moorhead.

PERFECT FOR A SHROPSHIRE VISIT
Rebecca is the perfect host - warm, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable about the local area. Made a great suggestion for where to eat each evening I was with her. The house is super and lovely gardens in which to wander, too. Super breakfast.

From the moment we arrived until our departure, she exhibited a warm welcome, remarkable efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to making our stay exceptional. Her local knowledge was invaluable and she promptly addressed all our requests. Rebecca's pleasant nature and unwavering dedication to ensuring guest contentment truly enhanced our stay. The homemade breakfast was not only flawless but also delectable. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming bed and breakfast and would eagerly revisit should the opportunity arise.

A real gem of a B&B!
We only stayed for one night to break up a longer journey but we really enjoyed our brief stay. Beautiful countryside location with a few ponies and chickens on site (which the kids loved!). Very warm welcome, spotlessly clean and well presented throughout and an excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

A superb bnb
Becky is a fantastic host, super friendly! The view from our room was stunning. Loved the cooked breakfast in the morning and so much choice, if you preferred continental. If we could have stayed longer we would have. Highly recommend!!

Rebecca, the owner, was there to greet us on arrival and was very warm and friendly. We only had a short time there, but everything felt very personalised and a real home from home. We have already booked to return with friends so that we can have all 3 rooms and have the lovely lounge to ourselves.

The Moorhead is a terrific little B&B. The rooms are a good size and comfy and breakfast is tasty and will satisfy any hunger. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Rebecca if you find yourself needing anything - though usually she's thought of everything before you need it! Look forward to coming back!

The owner Rebecca was very friendly and welcoming and rang me the day before to check over finer details. I appreciated this. Lovely view from the bedroom of the extensive fields. And the added bonus of seeing the cows and Shetland ponies too! Very peaceful and secure location. Lovely breakfast too.

Can’t fault this lovely B&B at all. It was better than most hotels, Rebecca and Phil really know what they’re doing and go out of their way to make it a wonderful stay.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful time here. The location was nice and quiet and set back about 500m from the road with their own long driveway. Rebecca is the host and nothing is too much trouble was very much the feeling. Cosy, comfy rooms and plenty of cows, Shetland ponies, chickens and cats that the kids could enjoy stroking. We felt very much at home.

Wonderful time at the Moorhead!
We had a wonderful time at the Moorhead! Rebecca is the friendliest person you could ever hope to meet, her hospitality was second to none and we're incredibly grateful for the extra little touches which made our stay so perfect. As for the room, everything was clean and tidy, and the breakfast we received was consistently spectacular. We're very much looking forward to our next visit!

Very attentive service. Rooms are great with little touches like a bag of jelly beans a GOOD coffee machine with decaf so you can have a coffee in the evening without worrying about sleeping. Breakfast is fabulous.

Perfect stay. Hosts very welcoming and personable. Lovely room with some nice touches like a coffee pod dispenser (would have been even better if there was a decaf option as I would have loved to have used it). Also there was some jelly beans and a bottle of water. All nice touches that you don’t expect. Breakfast excellent. Would definitely stay again. Wish this place was a little nearer to Shrewsbury, I’d stay every week !

Cannot rate highly enough. We both thought it was the best B&B we'd ever stayed in. We were very well looked after throughout our 2 nights here by our lovely host, Rebecca. The room we had was perfectly clean, a good size with a comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing. Thanks so much. we will be back!

Wonderful stay
We had a brilliant stay at the Moorhead with a lovely room, an amazing shower and extra finishing touches in the room like jellie beans and sleep tea! Breakfast was wonderful - lots of lovely fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast that could not be matched. Rebecca couldn’t have been more kind or welcoming and we loved being immersed in the countryside, feeding apples to the ponies and watching the chickens cluck around! Thank you for a wonderful weekend. 😊

Diese Unterkunft ist wie ein 5 Sterne Hotel. Das schöne Haus - die tollsten Zimmer. Es stimmt einfach alles. Das tolle Frühstück mit eigenen Eiern. Rebecca ist so umsorgend. The Moorhead ist eines der besten Unterkünfte die ich kenne. Ich kann The Moorhead so empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder das ist wirklich sicher. Wir waren im März da und es war schon traumhaft im Sommer muss es ein Traum sein. Mitten im Grünen die Pferdekoppel vor der Nase. Es fehlte an rein gar ncihts. Rebecca führt The Moorhead wie ein Luxushotel und liest jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab! Das Bett ist schon ein Highlight ! Alles bestens !! Mehr geht nicht! Wir werden diesen Aufenthalt niemals vergessen und er wird immer in ganz positiver Erinnerung bleiben!
