”We have been coming to Schroon Lake every year for over 40 years. This was our first stay at the Maple Leaf Motel. We only stayed one night, but the accommodations were perfect for our stay. Very nice place everything you need you can find in this home from cookware to glassware, baking needs.. i was reading lot's of reviews about this property and was worried , poor wifi, low water pressure.. i had none of those problems with 7 people total in the home.. Only thing i could say is this mattresses can use an upgrade .. but I'd definitely come back again especially in The summer.. this place must be amazing!! In the winter 4 by 4 is a must have...

”We stayed at Friends Lake Inn hoping for a relaxing getaway, but this visit was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the hotel was completely empty — no staff at the front desk, no note or key left for us, and no response to calls or texts. After waiting, we had no choice but to find and check ourselves into an unoccupied room. Additionally, none of the usual amenities were available: the restaurant and bar were not operating. ”As a woman traveling alone I would not recommend this place. Only person on site to help me check in was the attendant who lived on site and smelled of alcohol from a mile away. There’s no way to lock the room from the inside besides the chain lock, and the one in my room was literally broken off the wall. No way control over temp in room either. I ended up finding somewhere else to stay.”

”While the staff was very amiable the bed bugs weren’t. The bug were bold enough for me to able to find them on my body and clothes when the lights were turned on and when I pulled back the sheets I discovered the distinctive markings of their past exploits, blood splattered throughout.”
