Very peaceful elegant hotel not TOO far from it al
This was a wonderful choice for us. It was relaxing to return here after a busy day exploring Singapore. It's actually only a 10-minute brisk walk to the MRT station and as others have mentioned it is in a serene spot in a nature reserve.
There is a peaceful zen vibe to the place. The room is small but tasteful and efficient. Our room had a few steep steps up to the spacious bathroom- probably not the best choice if you have mobility issues. The best shampoo/body wash I've ever used!
The free port waiting for us each evening was a plus. Would have been nice on the night we came in but maybe they forgot. Also the basket of fruit was nice but not replenished and the plum started to rot.
I would have appreciated being instructed on using the shortcut to the restaurant. The first couple of days we didn't know about it, and walked all the way down the winding road and up the road to the breakfast spot.
BREAKFAST:
This was one of the best I ever had. (Ignore the negative review mentioning ants.) It's unrushed and on the balcony with fans and Gamalan music. The waiters are welcoming and attentive, and you can choose one entree such as an omelette, French toast, Asian dishes..... They'll also make fresh juice for you! There's a nice selection of fresh fruits, pastries, Malaysian rice/noodles wrapped up in banana leaves from the yard(!).
We only took advantage of the evening cocktail once but be sure to go there! Elegant atmosphere/tasty drinks.
