Nestling in the Upper Wharfedale Valley between Kettlewell and Buckden, this idyllic National Park village makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of Upper Wharfedale is National Trust owned - an indication of the beauty of its classic countryside, with dry-stone walls and barns, important flower-rich hay meadows and valleyside woodland.

The village itself comprises a cluster of stone-built cottages and houses with, at its centre, the wonderful 'Fox and Hounds' pub serving great ales and fine food. An excellent base for enjoying the famous dales, historic market towns, caves and waterfalls of this magical area.

Old,interesting and quirky. We all loved it. ( Ages ranging from 15 months to 80 years.) One and only drawback was the number of bumps on heads due to low doorways! Fantastic otherwise . Room for all family to be and have fun together in comfort and in such glorious countryside. I personally couldn't have wished for more.
