”Paul was very easy to work with prior to trip and a delight in person. The converted barn has all the ingredients for a restful retreat nestled in a beautiful farm looking out over Cheddar and surrounds. We had a great time with hosts that got the balance right between friendly and helpful and leaving us to do our own thing. Would be back in a flash if Australia wasn’t so far away. ”

”What a stunning cottage in the most beautiful area! And I cannot recommend Adrian and his daughter as hosts enough. The cottage was perfect for our family celebrations, had everything we needed, was very comfortable and clean with fans provided for the warmer nights too, bonus! Also noted heaps of extra blankets for colder months too, nice touch. And the views were beautiful! We were lucky to have full use of all the areas as we were the only guests, we chose the allocated farmhouse BBQ area...

”Relaxing and quiet location. The property was as listed and we were very comfortable during our stay. Little touches like Christmas tree and pint of milk were welcome. Despite the typical British weather the property’s location allowed us to explore the local area such as Cheddar Gorge and Wells. Would thoroughly recommend Berrow beach-quiet and dog friendly! We loved the view out across the fields.”

Ideal location for walking our dog and a wonderful pub providing exceptional food within a few minutes stroll. Splendid National Trust property almost on the doorstep. ”Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport”

”We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Batch Cottage. The cottage is exactly as described and was warm and cosy and very comfortable. It had everything you might need for your stay and a lovely garden. It’s really well located for the surrounding towns and villages - we visited Cheddar, Glastonbury, Wedmore and Tyntesfield during our short break. Would happily return.”

”Good venue, clean and tidy. Plenty of parking, space for all the family and lovely garden area. Aga great for keeping the house warm and cooking. Only issue - no shaving point in ensuite or bathroom.”

”This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place.”

”Clean, bijou and stylish shepherds hut in the countryside with all amenities needed. Bottle of wine on welcome and friendly owners. Local pub 5-10mins walk. Would recommend!”

”Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. ”
