”The hosts were very communicative and the location is perfect for people who love to ski but the apartment is in a terrible condition. The sofas very so hard that we couldn’t sit in them, the beds were squeaking, there were no comforters but just a sheet to cover yourself while sleeping, the paint was peeling off in many areas, the TVs are old and not smart TVs, the commodes in the bathroom are too low and small. I can keep going.”

”We found this apartment at the last minute of our New River Gorge National Park trip planning. It turned out a hidden gem to us. The apartment is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood of Oak Hill, a perfect home base to visit New River Gorge and other state parks in the area. The apartment itself is cozy, charming, well lighted and spotless clean. We feel so comfortable and relaxed as at home. all appliances are well kept and properly functioned. Towels and bed sheets are soft, nice and available...

We had a comfortable quiet stay away from the kids. Would rent here again if we return to the area. Priced well compared to hotel and much more space. Host was helpful on the holiday to clarify location and parking instructions. We had a lovely holiday getaway. ”

”Booked through VRBO - paid in full with instant confirmation. No instructions were sent by the owner, or response to my original message when I made the reservation. After two more unanswered messages to the homeowner I reached out to VRBO customer service. They were also unable to get in touch with the host (no answer and voicemail was full). Check in was supposed to be 3 pm. At close to 6pm we were told VRBO could help us with other accommodations or we could find our own. Customer service...

”We had a wonderful stay at our Winterplace condo. It was so clean and comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the host did a great job of keeping us informed of the process as well as points of interest in the area. We enjoyed hiking on some of the ski slopes. It was quite a workout and the view was amazing. We also loved relaxing on our balcony and as an added bonus, we could see the 4th of July fireworks.”
