The Tall Barn

The Tall Barn located halfway between Tiverton and Barnstaple in North Devon. South Molton is a 5 minute drive into the old town centre where you will find Sainsbury’s and a selection of small shops. Stop for a scrumptious coffee or lunch in Rachel’s restaurant or the George Inn. Visit the local Pannier market on Thursday or Saturday and enjoy local produce. Some of Devon’s favourite beaches are an easy drive away, my favourite is Putsborough beach, especially the beach restaurant for a quick hot chocolate, a bacon butty or a cold ice cream after a long day, dogs are welcome. There are lots of places to visit for children and adults, the Big Sheep, Dinosaur World for the children or Rosemoor RHS, Tarr Steps, National Trust properties, just to mention a few. I have put together 2 folders of places to visit, activities for all age groups. However if you just want the peaceful surroundings of The Tall Barn which is set in 23 acres of garden and fields to walk. The Barn is extremely comfortable with views overlooking the Devon countryside. In winter enjoy the atmosphere of a log fire as you settle down for an evening. But don’t forget to take a peak at the night sky on a clear night the stars are spectacular with very little light pollution, you will be amazed.
