”Wonderful Escapism A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid pool.”

”Beautiful pub opposite a babbling brook. So pretty. Made welcome from the start. Lovely double room with all you need. Great breakfast that sets you up for the day and ate there each of our four evenings. Food very good. Would highly recommend so long as you are happy to drive down very narrow country lanes and reversing back every so often as they are one vehicle roads. Part of being in the country as is being woken by the bleating sheep, quaking ducks and flying geese. Loved it. ”

”The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...
