Regrettably, I can say without hesitation that this was the worst hotel experience I have encountered in my 45 years of travel. The stay was marred by unprofessional service, poor maintenance, and a complete disregard for basic customer care. I was shocked by the substandard conditions and appalled by the overall management of the property.
Summary of Key Issues:
1. Facilities & Room Condition
No power sockets by the bedsideâhighly inconvenient and far below modern hospitality standards.
No air-conditioning or ventilation system; windows restricted to 2â3 inches of opening, making the room hot and uncomfortable in warm weather.
Rust in the bathtub and cobwebs on the windowsâclear signs of poor upkeep and lack of cleanliness.
Vending machines accepted cash onlyâa surprising and outdated limitation.
2. Staffing & Guest Service
Only one receptionist handling check-ins for a 113-room hotel during peak seasonâresulting in long queues and unnecessary delays.
The hotel appeared chronically understaffed. Employees were visibly stressed and overwhelmed, which affected both service quality and guest experience.
A ÂŁ5 daily fee to access gym facilities, which should be included in the room rate, especially at a hotel claiming a four-star rating.
No room service offered unless staying more than 5 nightsâa bizarre and unacceptable policy that contradicts industry norms.
An awful hotel experiencem the place should be closed down.
