”A lovely stay. A beautiful building and immaculate cosy room. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was huge. A great view of the canal. Right in the centre of Newark and easy to access. Parking is allocated per room and validated via an app...building work was happening so my space wasn't signed, but the builders were really helpful. The outside was in need of a bit of a tidy up, but it is Autumn. ”

”I had a great stay at Southwell Stays. Very kind owner who communicated well. Very safe and central location in Southwell. Immaculately clean room and bathroom. Huge smart tv to enjoy whilst staying in room. Bonus of microwave and coffee station too. Very enjoyable stay”

”Check in was easy. I had filled in the registration form prior to our visit. They had taken not of my comment on the form and had given us a room with easy access, no stairs to worry about. Our room was very clean when we arrived, had a nice smell to it when we opened the door. On discovering the duvet contained feathers, my daughter asked if it was possible to have a duvet without feathers, a replacement was brought up to our room within an hour. Staff were happy, helpful and cheerful,...

”Nice hotel. Booked a twin room but got a family room! Ideal for a short stay if visiting Motorpoint Arena. Not the Ritz but great for the price. Will definitely stay again if I’m going to an event in Nottingham 👍”

”It was lovely. It was quiet and away from people, v close to local amenities and sites. The WiFi is spotty but that is no criticism, it was great to know i could just read a book without constantly checking my screen. Will definitely come again.”

”I had the best time here, its so peaceful, stunning views and a very clean, spacious room. But to top it off the couple running it were the nicest people you will ever meet. They know so much about the history of the surpunding area and will give you advice for activities to do if you are ever stuck. I would highly recommend staying here and i will 100% be returning ”

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The whole place is super welcoming and cozy with super location for walks in the Sherwood Forest. Highly recommend ”
