Walked across road to restaurant and didn’t realize had to make reservations, we were told by elderly lady that she was the only one working and doing everything. She couldn’t make us dinner due to preparing dinner for other 2 tables which had 2 diners each, we were 3. ”

”Nice and clean b&b. My twin room for one person was the same price as for two people. I was told it's because people use two towels and beds but they could just make up room for one. The two single beds take over the room and you have to shimmy past the bed ends to get round to bathroom. Soap and shower gel/shampoo in plastic sachets. Breakfast was only available 8-8.30am, this luckily fot with my plans but is very limited. Good breakfast.”

”Campfield House is one of the cleanest B&Bs I’ve stayed at in Scotland. The rooms are cute and cozy, the hosts are incredibly friendly, and the views are stunning. The food is simple, but it’s hot and there’s plenty of it. The tap water wasn’t clear, which was mildly disconcerting, but it tasted fine. I would absolutely stay again.”

”Our original room, The Robert Burns Siute, was dark, and faced the road with a view of the dumpsters. After complaining immediately to the manager, he booked us into room 2, Mary Queen of Scott’s, a beautiful room facing the loch with breath-taking views. Heated floors in the bathroom, a comfortable king bed and excellent service rounded out our experience. The loud 1970s music blaring during our adequate dinner was unpleasant though.”
