”We just wrapped up a 10-day stay at Hotel Beacon in New York City, and it was the perfect spot for our family. Traveling with two small kids can be tricky, but this hotel made it much easier. The kitchenette in our room was an absolute lifesaver—having a place to whip up quick meals or snacks for the little ones was such a relief. It’s not something you find in every NYC hotel, so it really set this place apart for us.

Some noise from the streets carried very clearly to the room (7th floor), so it interrupted the sleep on occasion. The advertised breakfast was a disappointment - it’s just a coffee and a sweet pastry, which we had to request separately when the front desk said it’s not included in our stay (what it was and luckily we had it stated on the reservation).”

The staff was A+, but the building itself had some issues: the elevators (both) broke down at the same time, water pressure in the shower was low, and it took some time to get some warm water. Breakfast was little modest, coffee/tea etc., bagels, and muffins. Over all, location is good (subway stations near), the staff is friendly, and if you can live with waiting for awhile getting a hot shower, I'd choose this hotel again.”
