”We had a warm welcome from all the innkeepers to this historic place, which reflects its moment in Philadelphia's long history. If you like quaint, you'll love this place! And, it needs some freshening up and updating -- the furnishings, though of the period, feel dated and a bit worn. Even some good Scandinavian room freshener and a more minimalist and modern decor would help, as would an upgraded breakfast, which was not far from something you get at a chain motel. ”Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful.”

”The property was in great proximity to what we wanted to do. It’s in old Philly Sonic you’re looking to visit the sights, this is a great place to stay. Staff was very helpful but please please please, cook your bacon a lil longer. I don’t know anyone that likes to wrap their bacon around their folk. Other than that, great breakfast!”

”Huge comfortable suites, clean spaces, excellent bedding and linens. Good quality mattress. Large airy windows, green and river views. Only thing I would change would be color choice in the corridors: the matt black was endless and a poor choice for hallways and common areas. Otherwise an excellent stay”

Would happily stay again if it was 30% cheaper. But if you're happy with the price, it is as advertised, and I have nothing negative to say about the hotel itself.”

”I give this property a good rating rather than excellent because of the restaurant. We had a hour wait for a Turkey sandwich after asking 3 different times. We finally just left without eating. That really was the only issue. Location, room and staff were excellent.”
