”The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking). Now. The park itself is nice and the properties there independently owned and operated - some looked lovely, we just got a poor...

”Everything was perfect, spa facilities were lovely and relaxing and spotlessly clean. As was our apartment, the fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Food was excelent both in the evening and breakfast. We think it must be a wonderful place to work as all the staff from reception to cleaners were all very happy, chatty and helpful. We have booked for our next trip already 😊”

”we stayed in the Gamekeepers residence, was spotless on arrival with pretty much all the equipment we needed for a weeks stay. Couldnt buy too much chilled food at once as the fridge is a little small but loved our stay there. the bed/bedroom is really nicely done, perfect for a couple. Minimal contact with staff which suited us as thats what we like. Close access to shops and ameneties in the town very close by, and a good homebase to explore lots of different areas of Cornwall. Edwards’ Super Chariot Racer at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre, Lifton, Devon Robert Edwards ordered the ride new in 1934 at a cost of £1,750. It was built in Burton on Trent by Messrs. Orton, Sons and Spooner. The ride is 42 feet in diameter, plus the porch and steps, and was decorated in art deco ‘jazz’ style, popular in the 1930s. After the war the ride was rebuilt with the massive Chariot Racer scene on the front boards. This was constructed at Ortons and painted by their artists, Sid and Albert Howell. The Chariot Racer was travelled by the Edwards family until 1991 when it was placed in store in Swindon until acquired by the Fairground Heritage Trust. It arrived at the site in 2006 and with the help of Frank Edwards, it was assembled within a fortnight of arriving at its new home, and opened to the public later that year. fairground-heritage.org.uk/
