”The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.”

”We stayed before a morning flight and I would definitely stay again. You can arrive up to closing which is 11pm. We initially couldn’t find parking as there was a darts match on (Thursday for reference) but you could block people in and shift it later on. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, and the room had plenty of tea, coffee, UHT milk, sugar as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. We slept very well. Once the pub is closed it’s very quiet. ”

”The Westgate was easy to find and there was parking around the back of the pub as the town seems to have limited parking. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The location is a 5 minute walk to the shops .”

”What an excellent country pub. We have a lovely steak meal and used the garden to sit outside and have a drink before retiring to our room. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly.Breakfast was well cooked and very enjoyable. Our room was lovely and clean but the toilet flush didn’t work as well as it should. Overall we had lovely meals and a great stay made better by the welcoming friendly and attentive staff”

”Room was super clean and had air conditioning which was a huge relief during a heat wave. Food downstairs was really yummy and the garden was really nice. Easy walk from the train station too. Would recommend this place!”
