”As travelers from Australia, we decided on a self contained old worker's cottage as a change from the ordinary motels. We were not disappointed. Although small ( or compact ), the house came with the mod cons we required. Whether summer holidaying or like us, travelling about Cornwall, the house is central to beaches, shops, transport and restaurants and tourist spots.”

”We 4 adults spent 6 nights and found the apartment delightful for our needs. The third floor bedrooms with many steps could be daunting. The ground floor has a cozy sitting room and kitchen area, however the closest loo is on the first floor. The showers were particularly nice with plenty of warm water. The area is quiet and proximity of restaurants is close. There are many walking trails with spectacular vistas.”

”As a family we absolutely adore St Ives and have been visiting for over ten years in all seasons. To find accommodation as lovely as this cottage made our stay even more brilliant. We checked in very easily and were greeted with a clean and lovely cottage (& a cute welcome basket of goodies) The decor and furnishings were lovely with a real Cornish feel. We have a dog and have previously stayed in houses to find the smell of the previous visitors to still be lingering... We were really pleased...

”The cottage is in a quiet rural area and great for exploring West Cornwall. The hosts were really helpful and the beds comfy. Compact but fine for our short trip”

”Lovely break away, property was clean inside and lovely location. Couple of things. Garden had not been checked as very deceased rat on lawn, been there a long time and was disgusting to have to bag up after dog had found it. Someone elses full poo bags also out there. Couple of bulbs missing with no replacements and also we couldnt get on freesat no connection available. Owner also has blocked gutter above front door, large amounts of water cascading down.”

We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely goodies that were left for us, adding a nice touch to our welcome. ”The house is in a good location and accessible for town, but the house needs updating. It is quite tired and because the loft room is actually the best room in the house and one that has been refurbished, it shows up the rest of the house. We had problems with the oven and the hosts were responsive by mail but could not get it fixed. However, not sure the opening gambit being ‘we have not had problems with it before’ gives you confidence it will be addressed. We don’t always eat in on a holiday...

”Property is on quite a busy road i would not say very subtible for children. St Ives is a short distance away but car essential. The bathroom is very small and could do with an update there is an office on the top floor this would be better used as another bathroom. Lovely garden.”
