”The staff here are amazing and will definitely take care of you. Very scenic location that is safe and quiet. Loved the available kayaks free of charge to go kayaking on the surrounding sea and rivers. Room was clean as well as grounds. It is a bit far from downtown Belize, so food options are few and you need a car or shuttle to get anywhere. There is a restaurant on the premises, but expensive. Since it is close to the water, bug spray 24/7 is a must to avoid getting chewed on by mosquitos. ”

Set on a river and you can experience the howler monkeys. Will come back as it is close enough to the airport for early departures or late arrivals. Was just a tad outside of the easy access zone to nearby tourism places but certainly was perfect for the overnight stay that we had and will certainly be a place to come back to in the future. ”I am glad I was able to end my vacation at the gecko bungalow. Michelle made sure that everything was taken care of with the multiple shuttles to and from the airport. The bungalow was an oasis and I was very glad to get to experience it with my first trip to Belize. Michelle and Scott made it feel like another home away from home. ”Facility is okay at best, needs general upkeep to be completed. Painting would be helpful, garbage pickup around the property is needed.
