”Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again.”

”We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. There was a good choice of food for both breakfast and dinner, cooked to a high standard.
Our room was spacious and clean, offering plenty of comfort throughout our stay. The only downside was that some of the furniture felt a little tired and could benefit from an update, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience.

”Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow.
Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle.
Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax.”

”Incredible location across from the beach. Room was spacious and had a view of the beach and the pier. These older buildings don’t have AC but a fan was provided as was a small portable fridge. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant so we can’t rate those. We forgot some important items in our room on checkout and the staff were amazing. They contacted us right away when they found the items and offered to have a staff member deliver them to us. Really helpful.”

”Stayed at the Grand many times. This time we felt things weren’t to the usual standard. Close to our room the area was being decorated. There were signs apologising but we did wonder, given that the hotel didn’t appear to be ‘to capacity’ why we couldn’t be in an area not being decorated. We were also never far from the noise of pigeons in our room which wasn’t great. At breakfast, we are usually asked if we want anything over and above the buffet. This time, no one did that or indeed...

”Great hotel with very spacious and comfortable rooms and a huge reception and conference area if you need to work whilst there. Excellent location for a Glyndbourne trip. Very good value for money. Breakfast included and spa and gold onsite.”
