It needs a deep clean, mould on curtains, and cobwebs everywhere, but everything else was very clean. It was fine for the price we paid. ”We arrived at the hotel late and upon arrival had a sign saying under renovations. No pool/spa/gym/food. Room was ok. However interconnecting door unlocked which puzzled the staff as to why we would want to lock it. 2nd night bar then closed and had to request more milk pots as no laundry service/restock had taken place. ”I wanted to stay somewhere a little quirky and thought that this place would be ideal. There was a very steep lane on arrival. The hut shown in the picture is not the one we were in. We were under the impression that there was only one hut but we spotted 4 altogether. ”Had a great extended weekend stay at Porth lodge! In a great location with the beach just a short walk away and Newquay within walking distance it's perfectly tucked away. ”Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired.”
