This hotel has one of the best locations on the Island.
On arrival it was a speedy check in and access to room. The staff pleasant and helpful.
Rooms are clean with usual tea making facilities and filtered water machines available in corridor.
Bathroom is disappointing, no shelves for towels or toiletries. The shower facility is inefficient. The large overhead shower is not practical for having a decent shower. Too high up so cannot be adjusted, needed descaling so was squirting water out of the cubicle. No shower mats.
Seating facility in the reception is fine with an adjoining Cafe staffed by pleasant staff. Menu was a bit odd, scrambled egg on toast comes with a deluge of chickpeas!
At the back of the hotel there is another restaurant. Only 1 visit for breakfast. A Continental breakfast laid out and a separate area-for cooked breakfast. In my opinion, not a hospitable way to have breakfast, a bit disjointed and not good value for money. Choice of bread was limited and no option for traditional Maltese fare -bread, pasties? etc.
Bearing in mind this was April, the pool and area was not open, however it was sunny and warm - it would have been nice to sit/lie on a sun bed reading or just taking in the amazing view!
Airport transfers were easily arranged here, prompt and reliable.
Such potential, just needs a bit more thinking about guests’ comforts and enjoyment.
