Being able to walk over to John’s Pass without the hassle of looking for a parking spot or having to pay. The only complaint we had was the size of the master shower. There is not a lot of room to move around or shower off.

Stopped up bath tub, broken inoperable receptacle, light out, bad light switch, pillows were very old and flat, sheets were dingy looking. No bathrooms on ground level made it unhandy. We like staying by Johns Pass and I’m sure those folks had a rough way to go from the devastation last year but none of these issue were from flooding or wind. Sorry to have to give such a negative review but this was my experience.

This is a nice rental. If you are arriving after hours, the check in occurs offsite. We had some difficulties getting codes to work to finally get our key fobs and access codes.The rental is average size for 4 people. Kitchen is small. Living room couch is great and very comfy. Master bed was nice but the bathroom was very small. Be careful not to hit your knees on the hidden bedframe. The bathroom fan was broke. Spare room was a nice size.For general information, there are not beach towels or a blow dryer with the rental. Kitchen had minimal appliances but sufficient for the week. No scissors. Regular coffee pot.Bonus-full size tent and 4 chairs for the beach! This was awesome. Location was so nice as it is right on the beach and within walking distance of John’s Pass. Also the laundry in the unit is awesome. The unit had a superficial clean. The shower curtains really needed changed. Spare bathroom had hair in the tub and the kitchen had finger prints and cabinets were dirty but we cleaned pretty good when we got there although I don’t feel like you should have to. The unit needs a painting update.The deck is great and spacious. This unit is right above the pool. The key fobs are required to enter and exit the building, pool, and beach and made for a great safety measure but they only gave us two. Maybe ask for another if you have people who are coming and going to the beach and building at different times. The pool was very clean and warm on cool days.

Pool area and outdoor spaces very nice and clean. The beach front unit was ok. Somewhat clean but the bed mattress needs replaced. Bedroom tv is broken. Sofa is dirty and smells. Didn’t see housekeeping at all for the two week stay. Called about burned out lights in kitchen. Repaired quickly by maintenance. John

Building elevators are updated and there is guest parking available. The unit (110) needs upgrades-0nly 3 coffee cups, mish mash of silver ware. Dining table chairs were horrible-1 was broken and 2 wiggled so badly you were leery to use them. Peeling paint in bathrooms. Beach toy closet was dirty & disorganized. Excellent wifi, large deck and nice deck furniture.

Our unit though is in desperate need of repairs. The owner really should come in and see what needs to be done. Tape placed over broken mirrored medicine cabinets is a hazard, so many things need to be done, can’t name them- sunhost is great, unit 110 has a great view, but some serious repairs inside need to be made.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all it was nice and looking forward to next year. After seeing other units ours could use some updating. A light in the kitchen was out last year and still is out. No dishwasher pods when we were ready to check out. The bathroom exhaust fans are very loud.

It’s nice having the office located so close to the rental condos. Madeira Norte property is very well maintained and the grounds staff were very pleasant. They were hard at work each morning cleaning the pool, Beach and grill area. Love that they take care of Butterball and her friend.🐈‍⬛. Our condo was nice, but the bedding seemed pretty worn. There were a couple of some smaller items that. Needed addressed and the staff took care of those. The views are beautiful and the patio furniture was very nice! Definitely would stay again at Madeira Norte and book with SunHost!!!

I love this building but I would not rent this particular condo again.

Madeira Norte Unit 110

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and stayed there many times before, just not in this unit. Loved it was on the first floor and ocean front however the unit was dirty. The furniture was thick with dust and the couch needs a good steam clean. The mattresses and pillows all need replacing. For $1900 for the week I guess my expectations were higher than they should have been. Other than that the unit had all the basic needs. The A/C went out on our last night but I called the emergency number and they sent someone out to fix it that evening and called the next morning to check on us. The beach is beautiful but the swimming pool was cloudy and the pool man warned us not to swim in it because the filters were broken. Madeira Norte was our go to spot but considering elsewhere next year.
