Somewhat Disappointing

I'll start with the good - the Resort Rental staff was very responsive and empathetic. One of their agents made a mistake and they stood with us to make it right. Overall, this resort management company is very good.With respect to the unit - several issues:1. This is one of only 5 units in Harbourside that comes with ONLY 2 Water Park passes and not 4. It's really a bummer if this is one of the reasons you are choosing to stay there. I would strongly recommend looking at the other units as the floor plans are all identical.2. The unit needs updating: - the toilet in the primary bath never worked properly. They sent maintenance and he tried to fix it, but the entire flapper mechanism is old, worn, and continually comes off its hinges. The entire internal parts need replacing. - the locks failed. We were locked out the first day and two trips from maintenance were required to finally get one of the doors to unlock properly - the door on the dishwasher almost fell off as we were loading it (by this point we were so over it that we never even called about this issue).Overall, not what we were hoping for with our beach vacation.

Perfect location

The kids had so much fun. We wish the pool passes could have covered the last day rather than the first because we only ended up able to use those for an hour after check in. But otherwise it was great and the owner was very responsive to questions.

Wow! Not enough stars

There are not enough stars for this listing and the owners. Let's start with the unit: - Walking in, it looked walking into an open house. - They included great little touches like a a higher end hotel (toothpaste and brushes, make up wipes, coffee pods) - The unit has a great view from the balcony. You can see the intercoastal and the gulf and gorgeous sunsets - High quality beds, linens, furniture, etc All in all, it is just an incredible unit and a great experience. Then you add the most responsive and caring owners. Their response time on questions or a couple of self-inflicted issues was amazing. It made the spray so much nicer. This isn't just a great value property, it is a must rent in IRB!

Great for family beach vacation!

We had a great time. The property is located near/at a waterpark, but also a short walk from the beach. Our kids loved the fact they could go to the beach or the waterpark. The unit had many amenities for cooking and for the beach (I would look through the kitchen before going to the grocery store and the storage area before purchasing any beach items). We would definitely stay here again.

Great family place!

Holly was great to communicate with! Condo very clean and nice. We LOVED sitting on balcony and watching the dolphins! Only improvement I would suggest is providing a full canopy for beach instead of umbrella. Having beach stuff was WONDERFUL! Close to shops and eats.

Great Condo!

The condo had a beautiful view, and the kitchen was really well stocked. After a lot of travel, it was nice to be able to cook a meal! It was very clean with plenty of space for my pre-teen/teen kids to enjoy themselves! We will book this condo again! Highly recommend!

What a great stay!!

We loved our stay in IRB at this condo! Everything was exactly as described and the communication with the owner was terrific - Holly was very quick to respond. I found the condo to be very clean and I appreciated laundry detergent and dishwasher pods were available so I didn't have to bring any or buy them. The beach items available for use were so helpful as well! The water park can be noisy so staying on the 7th floor helped to muffle some of the noise. My kids (age 15 and 10) LOVED the water park and we spent lots of time there. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk away. The only minor downside would be the elevator! There is only one so it can take awhile to get up and down. Parking was also at a premium in the parking garage. Luckily there is some parking on the street if needed. Overall, we would 100% come back to IRB and rent this condo again. Thank you, Holly and Gary for making our vacation easy and restful and relaxing!

Great getaway at the beach!

The condo was very clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and plenty of cushy bath towels. Beautiful high-floor view of the inter coastal with the gulf in the distance. We saw a manatee and had several dolphin sitings during our stay. Great location—quick walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Very detailed and responsive communication from Holly. Would definitely stay again!

Review for unit #7716

Upon arrival, hot water did not work in kitchen sink. Holly fixed this. There were 3 bowls plus one chipped bowl. Cutlery and dishes were mismatched. Several plastic glasses that were provided had a film on them that couldn't be cleaned or used. This condo sleeps six. Gary brought 4 cheap (50 cent) bowls. We purchased four bowls for our own use because we were tired of receiving the cheapest dishware possible. Breaker panel switches kept tripping in the two bathrooms about 10-12 times. There is an issue with the electrical system. Toilet in master bathroom had to be fixed as it was not filling up at all. Maintenance came and did so. Later, when our son, wife and grandson were staying in the second bedroom, his toilet stopped working so I wrote to Holly again. Maintenance came but by that time my son had fiddled with it and fixed it. Holly made me feel as if I made a frivolous request--which I did not. The lint trap in the dryer could not be pushed down properly because there was too much lint. Holly ordered a tube to be attached to the vacuum cleaner and cleaned out the lint trap, which probably had not been cleaned in years. There was a red light on the dryer indicating a problem with the vent. I told Holly but this was not addressed. Air conditioning did not work in second bedroom 8 of the 9 days our son stayed with us. It had not been serviced in months/years. Hot and humid and uncomfortable. We paid for a 5 star stay and received a one star service.

Great Thanksgiving week getaway

We had a great time at the Harbourside Resort the week of Thanksgiving. The condo is very large and our kids (9 and 11) had plenty of room to spread out. The decor and furnishings were nice and we appreciated having a washer and dryer. We used the provided beach wagon and chairs to take to the beach which was a nice plus. The unit is on the seventh floor with a very slow elevator. With no luggage cart to transport our belongings and coolers, the unloading and loading of our car was a time consuming process. When we didn't have things to carry, we opted for the stairs. The resort is in excellent condition and extremely clean and well maintained. All four of us enjoyed the waterslides and lazy river, and continued to swim in the pool after those closed at dusk. The resort was no where near crowded and we never waited more than a minute or two for the slides. I'm sure this is a popular resort during Spring Break and Summer, but it was very quiet over Thanksgiving. We walked to nearby restaurants and the beach was a pleasant 5 min walk. We would definitely stay at this resort again, it's a great location and a wonderful unit.

Wonderful stay!

This property is exactly as described. It came equipped with beach wagon, toys, chairs, etc. Fully equipped kitchen. The waterpark was great for the kids with plenty of seating. The snack shop had great food while at the park. The balcony directly overlooked the harbor which was great for boat watching. We even saw some dolphins. The beach was a short 2 block walk away. Convenient store, lots of restaurants all within walking distance. The property owners checked in via email often. Would highly recommend and/or stay again!

Wonderful 5 stars!!

Wow what a great rental! One of the best we’ve stayed at. Everything was very clean, lots of little extras, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Host was so nice and accommodating. Gave us many recommendations and suggestions for the area. The kids loved having their own room and beds. And of course the water park! Beach is just a short walk away along with plenty of restaurants and a beach shop. The balcony overlooked the intercostal, was fun watching the boats and dolphins swim by. We will definitely be returning!

Great Family Vacay!!

What a Great Vacation!!! The location is located a short 2 minute walk to the beach and the condo unit is fully equipped with all the fun stuff you would need for a perfect day at the beach. The condo was extremely clean and very inviting!! The owners checked in multiple time to make sure we were happy! We couldn't have been happier with the location!! The Waterpark was an added bonus and the lazy river was one of our favorite places. The condo comes with 4 Waterpark passes everyday! If you are a family traveling with little ones, this is the place to go!!! We will definitely be returning!!

The unit was well kept, and had all of the supplies that we could have asked for. The location with onsite water park/pool, walk to beach, and restaurants made for a convenient and relaxing stay. The owners were very helpful and would recommend this place to others.

June Vacation

Good time all around!! The place was nice, area was not too crowded, beaches nice, clean, not rocky. Not crowded!!! Kids had a blast, adults enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Excellent Vacation

The condo was as advertised. Well stocked and perfect for the family. Communication from host was excellent. The combination of water park and beach access is a great mix. The town is full of great local establishments. The view from the patio morning and night was very peaceful. The four of us enjoyed the trip. Will be back again.

Great location for young kids

This is our second time at Harbourside and it's just a great place to go with young kids because of the water park on-site and the short walk to the beach. It was great having a high chair and children's plates there to use so we didn't have to bring our own. The porch provides lots of entertainment watching the boats go by and my husband and I even saw some dolphins swimming one night. A note to parents with young kids - the rooms are very bright during the day if you have any kids napping and even early evening. We used the pack and play provided, but the bottom that the child lays on is horrible (hard and uneven). Luckily my daughter is a little older, so I used some towels as padding, but I wouldn't do that with an infant. Just things to consider.
