”Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.”

”Bar closed early - even to residents! Staff were very friendly - room was great although decoratively a little tired - breakfast was good - only one cup of coffee or tea offered, would be better with a pot of tea or coffee. Generally a good place to stay”

”Lumpy floor in the en-suite bathroom, Dust on the light bulb in the lamp, cobwebs in the lamp in the hallway! Check in was a bit weird”

”The superior room was comfortable and led out to a huge quiet garden. But the decking and furniture outside were rotten. The bathroom had an unstable toilet and a difficult shower. Insulation was poor. Presentation on approach wasn’t great, with dead plants everywhere. Having said that, we had a great night’s sleep and staff were friendly and helpful. Location great.”

”Our room was beautiful with a lovely Juliet balcony over looking the gardens. The room was spotless and the toiletries were super useful. The staff were really helpful, especially at breakfast when I could not decide what to have! We regret not bringing swim/gym wear to use the gum and swimming facilities.”

”Third time staying here due to the positive previous experiences. The positive streak continued with a great room featuring a fantastic air-conditioning unit which kept me cool in the June heat. A wonderful workout ensued in their very well-equipped gym set up. This was followed by a powerful shower and I went to dine nearby. Had a great night's sleep before a well-cooked breakfast got my day started perfectly. Can't wait to come back.”

”We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...

”Guestling Hall is een traditioneel Engelse Hall. Personnel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We konden eerder inchecken wat super fijn was. We verbleven daar een nacht op doorreis naar de Eurotunnel.”

”Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again.”

”Breakfast was amazing. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The one downside I did have was literally I didn’t have an ensuite bathroom. I had to use a communal down the hall shower room and toilet other than that I can’t fault the place this is Jason the Chef”
