”This was an immaculately clean and comfortable stay. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant had a good choice and the chef clearly takes pride in his food- great quality and lots of choice. The breakfast included traditional ootions but also good quality food. We loved the location and would highly recommend the Queens for an overnight or longer stay. We also brought out dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. ”

”Beautiful property in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities provided. The bar was well stocked and the food lovely, although a little pricey, especially the children’s meal! Breakfast was fab with a great choice and cooked to order so was piping hot on arrival. Went to Kielder winter wonderland so this was an ideal stay as only 10mins drive away. Would definitely recommend.”

”We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”

”This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. ”I was a completely unplanned visitor who trekked the moors at night to reach the Inn. Though the only thing that happened on the moors was fulfilling an American's silly Holmesian fantasy of walking the moors at night, everyone was concerned for my safety and I really appreciated that. My stay was wonderful, the food was really delicious, and everyone with whom I spoke was just up-front and pleasant. I will be back some day and guess where I'll stay?”
