”Lovely property, near to the town centre. However, there was no phone signal for O2 or Vodaphone. There is a landline insitu for emergencies. The cars, vans etc go right past the windows, so there was a fair bit of road noise in the lounge / kitchen dining area. The bedroom was nice and quiet though. ”

”Staff excellent. Setting beautiful. We stayed in the old house which had real charm, but was a little tired. Beyond the historic house is a conference centre, with spa. We ate an evening meal in the 1744 restaurant which was well priced and very tasty. ”

”A lovely, well equipped cottage, ideal for 1-2 people, nicely tucked away in a village that has so much going on. Clean, comfortable and a lovely welcome basket from the owners. The small kitchen area has everything you need, the decor is lovely and the lighting is great. The woodburner is left ready to light, though I didn’t need it. There is lots of local information left by the owners, who are very friendly and welcoming.”

”Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.”
