”Been several years since I last stayed here. It is in a beautiful rural hamlet only 20 mins from Welwyn Garden City. It is a very quaint place to stay that is dog friendly. The staff are also great. I didn’t realise the bar closed at 8pm on a Monday and the menu was very limited for me as a gluten free diner. I had to have dinner between 6 and 7 ish. ”Dusty corridors due to construction works within the hotel. Rooms acoustic are poor, we had our room on the ground floor and could hear everything from the floor above, footsteps and conversations. Not ideal if you want to rest. Only large towel provided no face/hand towel. Heating system is sluggish, it took a few hours to get the room heated from 16° to 20°, electricic heater on the wall couldn't be used as it was dirty and emanated burnt smell when switched on.”
