Didn't like: There was a problem with something in the room directly overhead that was causing an extremely loud, motor-type noise that woke me up very late at night and lasted for a long time, after which getting back to sleep was impossible. It was reported, but no-one seemed to know what to do about it. The towel rail in the bathroom was dangerously hot and you had to be careful not to get burnt. The menu in the restaurant was...

”We were greeted by our host who had kindly allowed us to deposit our luggage ahead of moving into the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and well appointed with an Aga stove in the kitchen that keeps the cottage warm. It has a small but well kept garden with table and chairs for outside dining if desired. Also parking for two cars. We took some wonderful trips in the area where many of the villages have thatched cottages. There is a post office and village shop close by and local pubs within...

”Location was perfect, easy to get everywhere. And we loved our small kitchen, it was handy and there was everything you could imagine to need. Althaugh the room could have been cleaner. There was a bit dust and crumbs everywhere, as if the room had not been vacuumed at all. Also air conditioning was surprisingly noisy, the whole room was resonating, so it didn't help to switch it off. But overall it was a ok stay in a good price.”

”Great lodging! A very short walk from the train station, and yet very quiet. Smelled fresh, very clean. Our 1 bedroom was terrific. Full kitchen, living space with couch and tall desk table. Bathroom tiny but worked for us…and so clean! Bed was comfy. Front desk person was kind and welcoming. This place was ideal for a one night stay AND would be terrific as a base for several nights while exploring the area. Easy train to Southampton, and also to Bath. Busses that go to Stonehenge. Walking...
