Matkat – Stocken-Höfen

Face your fears! This hotel has only rooms on 9th, 10t and 11th floor. All the rooms have glass windows, that are very open so this hotel is definetly not for you if you have fear of heights. The shower is open to room - so if you have fear of exposure, it is not for you - also you need to be intimate with your travel companion. The biggest mirror there is in the room is located inside the toilet door. Also if you are claustrophobic you may not like the toilet as it is quite small and panelled with square tiles - frankly, it brought to my mind the asylym joker was held at Batman movies. The hotel is located in odd area of Zürich, far from the olf nice city center. However, the hotel is nice and new. It is a design hotel wich means the hotel ceiling and floor is plain concrete and there are no flowers or fluffy cute things in this place! The hotel helped me to overcome my fear of heights, so the week was it's worth - and in the end I was able to appreciate the stunning views from my windows!
