Churchyard Extension This photograph shows a view of the churchyard extension to the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Stokesley. The picture was taken near Station Road looking in an easterly direction towards Villa Farm.

Public Footpath to Great Ayton Hugging the north bank of the River Leven this is the quickest walking route from Stokesley to Great Ayton so I assume it must be of great antiquity. I would have expected it to be more of a bridleway however but perhaps this route was just too boggy for horse and carts preferring a more southern route avoiding the river along the line of the modern A173.
