”A very enjoyable one night stay. We had booked a junior suite but asked to swap rooms to a different type, with a golf view. The receptionist was happy to oblige and all was sorted swiftly. We were so pleased with our decision as the view down the eighteenth hole and across the surrounding countryside was fabulous. The delicious and plentiful breakfast was freshly prepared and made to order.”

Overall, it was affordable and clean. Communication with the manager is quick and convenient, mostly through email. There's an onsite caretaker that we saw in the mornings. I highly recommend it for an affordable stay.”

”Another restful stay at this lovely hotel. It’s always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The bar /restaurant is excellent. We normally stay weekdays and it’s pretty quiet but it’s a near perfect wedding/party venue so I would imagine it’s pretty busy and maybe not so restful at the weekends. It’s situated near but not in the Peak District in lovely surroundings. Hopefully we’ll be back again sometime.”

”The room is immaculate, there are nice touches like ground coffee and a french press, first time I have had this even in £500+ a night rooms. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside.
The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. There is no aircon or fan so we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows and it was fine. Old school air...
