”I very rarely post a bad review; I normally don't post a review at all if I haven't liked it. However, we booked The Croft based on the number of 5* reviews it had. On a positive, the location of this B&B is perfect - really close to the High Street. However, we've stayed in a lot of places, both higher and lower end, depending on our requirements, and I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. The room and en-suite were possibly the smallest we've ever...

”The suite we had was very comfortable and the bed was probably the best I have ever slept in, in a hotel. The view of the River Avon and the weir was beautiful.”

”For a simple stay over this is an excellent pub with rooms, nothing fancy but very welcoming. all rooms basic but en suite and have all that is required for a simple stay. In the bar/restaurant the food is good and the beer is as well. Wi Fi available throughout but can be a little patchy in the bedrooms. Breakfast is cooked to order with good fresh ingredients and is first rate. I stay here frequently and will continue to do so.”

”Our luxury double room was spacious, clean and kept clean by staff each day. The only comment we would make was that the continental breakfast was not exciting and therefore somewhat disappointing for my wife who does not eat the cooked option.”

”Great little pub on outskirts of the city. Its an old pub that has a lovely vibe to it. The pub itself is great the surrounding area is a bit dodgy. Room itself was spot on. Nice comfy bed, great shower and had a lovely stay there after meeting up with some mates. It was £50 for the night so you're not getting the Ritz.”

”The host was very helpful. She was very flexible in allowing us to pick up the keys early on the day of our check in. Despite there being a storm the weekend we stayed, the room was fantastic, lovely breakfast in the morning, and stunning views. If in the area, would definitely look to book again. Thanks.”

”Nice place but the room I had was next door to a nightclub. Friday and Saturday night were really noisy. So much so that I asked to move rooms on the Saturday. To be fair this was not a problem for the staff who accommodated my request. Other than the noise late at night, no issues.”

”We had a very pleasant five-night-stay in the end of April 2019. We felt very much at home enjoying Liz´ and Dave´s kind, attentive and helpful service throughout our stay in every respect. Tidiness and service were of a high standard. Breakfast gets our ten points out of ten, always suiting our needs. For us everything in the town was within a convenient walking distance with attractive routes to choose from.”

”Easy place to find. Parking on site. Helpful and friendly staff. Room was comfortable. Evening meals and breakfast were good. Only negative comment to add is that it would be nice to be able to check in before 6pm on days the pub is closed until then.”
