Despite the construction in the lobby, the hotel was clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and accommodated us on a very early check in. The hamburgers in the restaurant were delicious! Some things that didn’t generate 5 stars was the house cleaning and the sounds of the hotel. We only had the room serviced twice with our 9 night stay and the first time they didn’t restock the toilet tissue so we had to ask for more and then the second time they left a big black garbage bag with garbage in it in the room. The shower had a door removed so water got everywhere and we could hear the bathroom being used from another room and could occasionally smell sewage. The window also didn’t seem sealed so was cold but was fine with the heat turned up and it kept our room cold. There also was no where besides the bar or restaurant to get water or ice which may be common in the UK but just something we looked for.
