The host Kevin was good company and very helpful with recommendations of things to do locally. The property itself was in great condition, I felt comfortable throughout. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the town centre. The breakfast is also excellent. Enjoyed a solo birthday weekend in Stratford Upon Avon staying here. Would happily recommend.

Comfortable stay within walking distance of centre
Such a comfortable stay at The Croft. Our ensuite room was super spacious, clean, and comfortable. The host kindly welcomed us and gave us some ideas for things to see. The complimentary breakfast was delicous and promptly prepared. In addition to a full English breakfast, a full spread of fruits, cereals, coffees, and juices were available in the dining room. We had such a great time staying here and would absolutely recommend The Croft to anyone staying in the area.

The Croft
Very welcoming and friendly service. So much choice for breakfast including full English. The only downside was that our room was at the front of the house and traffic noise was a problem for us sleeping. Apart from that everything was very good.

Another great stay for touring couples.
Kevin greeted us at the door and everything went well from there. We had a fine and airy room that had the best ensuite of our trip. My wife and I appreciated the location being within walking distance of the old town and very near the riverfront. Breakfast was substantial start to our day and was served in a bright, well decorated, area.

Good spot to access Stratford the town.
The bedding and bathroom were clean and fresh but the windowsills were a bit dusty/dirty and the front door was grubby where people had pushed the door open. A great location though and a delicious breakfast and pleasant dining area.

Nice Place
Stayed for 2 nights and it's a nice walk along the river into town. Due to a problem with the train we arrived outside of the check in time, but the owner was more than accommodating and was there to let us in when we arrived 50 minutes late. I don't eat a cooked breakfast but the other half had one and said it was nice.

I’m afraid I would not recommend this place. There were too many negatives for us that outweighed the positives. I’ll do the POSITIVES first; 1. Good location near the town. 2. Free onsite parking. 3. Nice modern bathroom. 4. Very nice breakfast made to order. 5. Comfortable bed. NEGATIVES; 1. TV in room was broken for the whole stay. 2. Tiny, tiny room (a small single let alone double room!) at front of house next to the road traffic. 3. Cobwebs all over ceiling and walls in room. We had to get rid ourselves and kill 2 spiders as my wife has a phobia. 4. Tree overgrown outside our window and branches banging against window all night. 5. Strange smell in the whole place and quite old fashioned. 6. Poor customer service. The host was in a neck brace so wasn’t very talkative but didn’t really make us feel that welcome and didn’t apologise about the TV or tree banging the window. Seemed quite indifferent about it. 7. Overall we found the place and the host a little odd and not really our cup of tea. We certainly don’t like overbearing hosts but if there’s an opposite of that then this was it! 8. Check out at 10am is too early. It should be 11am as you might not finish breakfast until 9.30/45 and want a shower afterwards etc so you’ll never get out by 10am! 9. Generally the place is a bit old fashioned and needs a updating and the host needs to be a bit more welcoming especially with new customers! We wouldn’t stay here again. If you do AVOID room 6!

Very pleasant stay for the weekend in a comfortable room, with good choice at breakfast. Only slight drawback was that we were on 2nd floor and there were rather steep stairs to get up there.
