Grandtully is more correctly Grantully (pronounced 'Grantly') but mapping has it with the 'd' and it will probably now stick. After 8 weeks with little or no rain, rivers are low, but the River Tay, fed from Loch Tay, usually hold its level well.

River Tay rapids at Grantully. This is a longer view of the rapids the 1st photo for this square covers. Taken at the end of November, so-one was foolish/brave enough to be on the river. Grantully, by the way, should not, traditionally, have a D in it, but the map-makers (as so often, certainly in Scotland) got it wrong and the mistake stuck.
