”I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.”

”Things we loved: Wonderful hosts, very friendly and communicative! Cast iron pans and multiple coffee making methods available for use were a plus! Cool bath/shower. Music players were a fun addition (the old school radio was a hit a with our 9 y/o). Stargazing was stellar! Overall a very cute rustic cabin.Things that could be better: Beds were very uncomfortable and none of us got a good night sleep. ”The stairs down were a little difficult but worth it totally. The cafe below took care of all of our food needs for the two days...they were great.
The rooms were clean and comfortable...I would definitely stay there again!”

”We met the host briefly and she was very pleasant. The bed and room was comfortable and very accessible to town. Yes, be careful about the wood beam overhead! We couldn't get the heat to work but didn't try that hard and were ok without it. ”
